A Problem

I know I must accept and love my body, but I’ve got to be honest:

I hate my thighs!

And they are not uneven or too skinny, or even too fat- they are just plagued with cellulite. You’d think I would be used to them, being 35 years-old and having dealt with them since I was like 11 (that’s right, I’ve had cellulite in my thighs even before hitting puberty).

Why did I have cellulite at such a young age? Did my diet play an important role in this? Well, according to experts: No one knows for sure. Great, right? Well, they also claim that there are lots of different factors that might contribute to cellulite, like:

  • Age
  • Skin type
  • Diet
  • Genetics
  • Blood Pressure
  • Low or no physical activity
  • Total body fat

So, basically, any of those factors (or all at once), have caused my legs to look like cottage cheese on a stick.

Defining Cellulite

From the top now. It is important to define cellulite, so that we know how to fight it. But cellulite is nothing more than normal fat beneath the skin. The fat appears bumpy because it pushes against connective tissue, causing the skin above it to pucker. Being thin wont free you from having it. It doesn’t really care about your weight; it just wants a home.

Taking Action

Something had to be done. If people could reverse the aging process of their falling faces, then by God, there had to be a way to get rid of it! Reading about many ways into noticeably reducing cellulite I actually found easy remedies that after just 2 weeks gave me back the love I had lost for my thighs! I know that if I continue to do these tips, I will get rid of it all!

Brush Your Skin

 

Ever seen one of these? Well, they are responsible for keeping the toxin levels to a bare minimum, it is quite essential to brush your skin regularly. Just dry brush the skin with a long body brush that possesses natural bristles.

2. Massages

There are various types of anti-cellulite massages. All the slimming parlors have it under various names. The basic procedure involves stimulating the enhancing lymphatic drainage and stimulating the blood flow. A good anti-cellulite massage done with sesame oil, infused with essential herbs and salts, should always be accompanied by a steam session. This will help in the better removal of toxins and improve the flow of blood. A good masseur will be able to give you visible results in 2 to 3 sessions of an hour each.

3. Coffee Scrubs

I actually own an amazing scrub made from coconut oil and coffee grounds. I have been using it for 2 weeks and can noticeably see the difference. If you want to try to DIY, then just grab coffee grounds and while in the shower, scrub your body for at least 5 minutes a day. Be sure to moisturize your skin with coconut oil or shea butter, afterwards.

4.Lemon Juice Internal Cleanse

You have to also take into consideration that cellulite lives inside your body, therefore, you must detox it from all that stored fat.  You need to drink a concoction of lemon juice and cayenne pepper, three times a day (add one tbsp. of cayenne pepper in a cup of water containing 2 tbsp. of lemon juice). You need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to avoid acid reflux and heartburn.

5.Diet

Diet is not as horrible as it sounds and there are numerous ones out there – Dukan, Paleo, 321 Baby Bulge Gone, GM diet, LCHF [Low Carb High Fat], and what not. Do not fall prey to any of the drastic diets. They will do no good, but are sure to leave you harmed. The ideal way to enjoy a diet is to go in a balanced way. Pack your plate with loads of fruits and vegetables of various colors. Plus, add a lot of ginger, black pepper, long pepper, onions, fennel seeds, lemon, cloves, and cinnamon in your diet. These improve your metabolism, thus ensuring a better blood flow.

6. Avoid Tight Clothes

You need to promote blood flow, and a tight dress will not allow this to happen. Make sure to pick the right size. If you have a 38-inch hip, then opt for something that comes with a 40 to 42 inch hip as it will help in promoting lymphatic drainage. If you want to wear body shapers make sure you don’t exceed wearing it for more than 6 hours.

7. Exercise

Stretching and cardio have to become your daily buddies. But don’t panic, I am lazy and I still manage to dedicate 15 minutes of my entire day working out to help me get rid of cellulite. Include squats and Lunges if your main goal is your legs.
